Elements were taken from the clients existing logo, whilst lettering was hand drawn in a period correct style. Gilded in 23.5ct Gold Leaf sealed in 2k Clearcoat with black shading.

Ross Hastie Signs is a passionate small business established in 2016 and based in our workshop in Alloa, Central Scotland. We travel nationwide to provide handmade signs, gold leaf gilding, decoration & restoration work. Over the last 10 years, Ross has built a reputation for producing consistent, high quality work as a Traditional Signwriter, Heritage Painter, Gold Leaf Gilder and Commercial Artist.

Most of the work shown on here is of my own design, fabrication and installation, typically for independent businesses and private clients keen on having a high quality traditional look. Although I frequently travel to sites around the UK to execute pre-designed signage and artwork on behalf of design agencies, architects, sign companies and brands themselves. For large jobs with tight deadlines, we are able to work with our network of signwriters and painters, and put together a skilled team to achieve the task on time.
