Below are some galleries of past work of different varieties. I am always keen to help small businesses with their shopfront presentation, be it anything from a simple painted fascia sign to a full signage package from initial logo design, shopfront design and all necessary external and internal signage and artwork, either fabricated in house or painted directly to the walls.
Most of the work shown on here is of my own design, fabrication and installation, typically for independent businesses keen on having a high quality traditional look. I also regularly travel to sites around the country to execute signage and artwork on behalf of design agencies, architects, sign companies and brands themselves. For larger jobs on tight deadlines, I am able to work with other signwriters and put together a team to achieve the task on time.
MURALS & ARTWORK
Beyond signwriting I have used my design and painting skills to create bespoke artworks big and small for individual and corporate clients. I am also experienced in sub-contracting for artists, designers, architects and other sign companies, creating various commercial artworks and branding onsite to the highest standard.
VEHICLES & MOTORCYCLES
Ross specialises in traditional signwriting, pinstriping and custom paintwork on vintage and custom vehicles. He is widely regarded as the 'go to guy' for this kind of work in the Scottish vintage motorcycle and custom car scene. He has been a featured artist in 'Kustom Graphics' magazine, and painted many award winning cars and bikes
WINDOWS
I believe a good traditional style window sign is a highly effective, but often overlooked, addition to shopfront design. Gold Leaf glass gilding never fails to provide a high-end timeless look, without obliterating too much light, interfering with window displays or blocking views into the shop.
HANGING SIGNS
Hanging and projecting signs are a fantastic addition to a shopfront, dramatically increasing visibility to public approaching from either side.
I produce full hanging sign packages in traditional, creative and contemporary styles. From intial design to installation, including bespoke brackets.
SIGNS & OTHER PROJECTS
I can design, produce and install all kinds of signs. Due to the traditional nature of the way I work, almost anything can be designed and built to suit a wide variety of briefs. I don't order from catalogues, so its never a case of 'computer says no'. Heres a collection of work that doesn't fit in the above categories.
